Very GOOD!

The old Elite cinema was only surpassed in age by the La Scala,which has now been turned into a school.Fond memories of Sundays when movies in English were screened.I remember the nuns from St.Francis Convent taking the entire school to view the epic 'Ben-Hur'.Bikes used to be chained in rows outside the cinema for security.The airconditioning was a welcome relief in summer when Jhansi was almost unbearable.

I am very enthiasist to see social map of Jhansi,But in this map not been show VIP House of MP and Jilla Panchayat President. So, I am very worry.

I am very happy to see map of jhansi. But It is regreated to subject for not show Lahar ki Devi in Social map of Jhansi.

This was originally the old La Scala cinema owned and operated by Mr.Cunningham during the early years.I am told it was well patronised by British forces as they were stationed in the nearby cantonment region.Many early Jhansi residents have fond memories of the old La Scala as in its day it was probably the first cinema in this city.As years progressed and Indian films gained in popularity,there were often several showings each day.It is sad to see an old Jhansi icon finally close its doors,yet I am sure the school that replaces it will keep the old building in good order.
